My Story
Born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1970 and moving to Adelaide in 1985 with my family, I started a signwriting & screenprinting apprenticeship, despite being short-sighted & colourblind, which saw me working in the industry for the next 15 years.
As the signage industry changed, so did my eyesight. This led to a change of careers, transitioning into the building industry. Missing the creativity signwriting gave me, I found the desire to paint again.
Starting with abstract images using only sticks & rags, painting from my subconcious without any references, brushes or rules, I tried to understand the world the way I saw it. Later on, I introduced stencils & spray cans, bringing my signwriting background into my artwork.
With deteriorating eyesight and a failed corneal transplant later on, my love for painting has never been greater.
